After growing up in Colorado and enjoying the cool climate, Donny moved with his family to call Central Florida his home. As a Manager of a cruise ship terminal Donny learned and refined the art of customer service which served him well when he decided to embark on the adventure we call the cable industry. Finding the attic temperatures in Florida’s summer months not quite as comfortable as his Colorado past he soon became adapted using his customer service skills and intelligence, to quickly excel as a field technician. Teaming up with his friend Bill Benson they became known as the “Dynamic Duo” by the MSO who would often request them to conduct installs on high priority VIP subscribers. “Just send the Dynamic Duo” Beth would say.
Donny’s ability to communicate with genuine care and empathy quickly earned him respect and admiration from his colleagues and supervisors. When Jaguar expanded into new regions it was unanimous amongst the managers that he was the right choice for advancement. Moving into an Operations Manager position he immediately gained the confidence of the MSO, fellow managers and owners. As the General Manager of the Melbourne Branch, he exhibits a standard of professionalism and team spirit that is unsurpassed. 2009 Employee Of The Year Ronald Kimraj
1st Runner up: Donald Scherer; Melbourne Office
2nd Runner up: Ed Zajack; Daytona Office
Ron Kimraj was nominated by nearly everyone in the Orlando office as he has touched everyone here in a different and profound way. Ron’s continued efforts to ensure that everyone is treated fair and working up to his or her full potential, makes him not only an excellent leader but an exceptional person. Ron has 15+ years of cable, management and operations experience. Ron has a business savvy that is beyond compare and a niche’ for what works and what doesn’t. Ron was the first employee at the Orlando branch to complete and pass all 3 NCTI test the first time around, which in turn allowed him to tutor and advise the technicians so that they could pass it to. Ron is also MCSE certified and has been for over 10 years. Anyone who knows Ron knows that he is honest, loyal and fair. Regardless of the situation, Ron is going to tackle it and see it through to completion.
Listed below are various statements submitted by his coworkers that demonstrate their genuine respect;
"Ron has been with the company for many years, first as a contractor/lead tech, then became an employee. He juggles many hats including routing, qc manager, and he oversees damages & complaints. These are some of the most important positions in the company and he excels at all of them. He has built an excellent relationship with Bright house personnel and gained their trust and respect. I would strongly recommend him a candidate for manager of the next office and feel he should be considered. I would hate to lose him, but he definitely would deserve it!"
"Anytime anyone has any questions about in the field issues, or issues in the office, Ron is a great person to go to. He has seemingly endless knowledge and if he doesn't know, he doesn't hesitate to find the answer and get back to you with it as quickly as possible."
"Ron is very much the wizard behind the curtain. He dabbles in a little bit of everything. Not only is he a Tech in the field, He handles damages, escalations and anything else that's asked of him."
"Ron handles many tasks that help us all through the course of the day. He manages the entire QC process, deals with all escalations, and routes all of our jobs. Having his hand in these duties allows him to focus a vital part of the operations, our tech relationship with the customers and with Bright House. All three of these positions are virtually thankless and bring a lot of negativity to any person trying to perform them (if they are doing the jobs properly, that is). Ron is always willing to be assertive, make decisions, and back those decisions up with solid reasoning. He is also willing to help out where needed and to lend his expertise or advise when asked. Ron puts a lot of effort and time into his job; a job that helps the overall company image."
In the testimonials above, Ron is described by management and his co-workers as hard working, honest, responsible, an outstanding professional and a team player. Notably, Ron was nominated for 2009 Employee of the Year for reasons that are obvious to anyone who has had the pleasure of working with him. He has always been a no-nonsense, dedicated, hardworking, devoted and not to mention highly skilled employee of Jaguar.
He is a true Captain in our industry, a loyal member of our team, and brings untold years of wisdom to every job he takes on. Ron never complains and his experience, wisdom, and most of all his work ethic is legendary. For all these reasons, and many more, Ron Kimraj was honored with the 2009 Employee of the Year Award!
Congratulations Ron from all of us for a well deserved honor!
2008 EOTY: William Lasater; Daytona and Ocala
We are pleased to announce the “2008 Employee Of The Year William Lasater”!
1st Runner up: Dana Campbell; Home Office
2nd Runner up: Rosa Garcia; Daytona, Ocala
Billy Lasater demonstrates the true commitment and passion in the expansion/growth of Jaguar Technologies, Inc. for he was responsible for soliciting, finalizing and launching our two latest contracted locations, Daytona and Ocala. This dedication is demonstrated in several ways, in addition to his obvious energetic demeanor: it is through his commitment to training, where his teaching of his cable knowledge is unsurpassed: it is through his thirst for knowledge as shown by applying for and becoming the first proxy of our organization to assist in SCTE certifications: and it is his underlying devotion and attention to detail with the dispatch department where he has proven his ability to keep the operation running smoothly: and last but not least, preserving the highest level of respect and trust with the pertinent directors at Bright House Networks.
Listed below are various statements submitted by his coworkers that demonstrate their genuine respect;
“Working with an entirely green staff and technician crew is a prime example of his leadership, while he was still was responsible to assist and supervise other locations as well.”
“Untapped potential... One can always count on this employee to push us to think faster, farther, smarter.”
“Billy assisted in launching two new offices within a year, through many challenges and adversities.”
“His first training class graduates are some of the best green techs out in field that as one MRT stated "unbelievable" as to what they have accomplished never having been in this industry previously.”
These characteristics, as an all-around great asset, are undeniable and Billy exhibits enthusiasm for the work and enables others to strive to be the best that they can be. He spends time with the workforce building relationships (shares stories, jokes), and knows how to have fun and be accessible. Billy pursues talent and acquires new thinkers. These are very positive traits which reflect on all of us at JTI.
It is with great pleasure JTI presented this award to William Lasater. Congratulations Billy!
2007 EOTY: Matthew Armstrong; Orlando
We are pleased to announce the “2007 Employee Of The Year Matt Armstrong”!

Matt was nominated by several of his peers due to his continued efforts to maximize efficiency and proficiency within the Orlando branch. His greater achievement was his latest breakthrough by discovering the ability within our operations to digitally process our invoices.
Matt was able to create a separate queue for the invoice and send that to print to software that would allow him to save the invoice (green bar) as a text file. No one was able to figure this out prior.
Before Matt's breakthrough, every work order had to be marked paid or adjusted off manually in order to reconcile tech's billing with the MSO invoice.
Next our IT Director was able to then parse the text file and mark work orders paid digitally directly from the green bar. Each invoice uploaded is on average 85% marked paid through this method. The remittance department then can quickly resubmit work orders not paid (how did that get done at all before???) and adjust off billing that will not ever be paid or is duplicated.
By transforming the “Remittance System” into the digital realm, Matt established a reliable and repeatable logistic process needed to provide optimum cycle time for completing an assignment with desired quality standard in the most cost efficient way. This process is now being utilized by both our Orlando and Melbourne branches and many involved in this task knows first-hand its added value.
The statement below submitted by one of his co-workers recapitulates it perfectly….
“Continuously strives for personal mastery, which engenders trust, respect and inspiration by all his peers.”
Everyone recognizes the combined earned value of this project and not only was Matt honored with “2007 Employee Of the Year award—He was also presented with the “2007 Project of The Year” award!
Congratulations Matt for these well deserved awards!
2006 EOTY: Amber Jerman; Orlando
Amber McAnelly’s future seemed somehow tied to Jaguar Technologies, Inc. even from birth. Born in Austin, Texas – home of Jaguar’s newest branch office – in 1980. She grew up dreaming of becoming what all great Jaguar Employee’s strive to be – a princess. By the time she reached high school her vision of royalty was soon replaced by the desire to become a veterinarian. Little did she know that her desire to help bring order to the chaos of the animal kingdom would be put to use each morning during check-in.
The real world was knocking – and after Amber’s mom suggested she would make a great engineer, she found herself at Texas A&M studying Biomedical Engineering. Graduating with her degree she ended up in Orlando, Florida searching for a place to apply her knowledge. In August of 2003 she found it in the most unexpected of places.
Needing to make ends meet Amber picked up a part-time job at a small but quickly growing company. The job description was Data Entry Clerk and the company was Jaguar Technologies. It was not long after that, Amber’s ambition and skills quickly outgrew the monotony of simply entering in work orders part-time. She began taking on more assignments and responsibility, eventually leaving her full-time job to come and work for Jaguar exclusively.

As Jaguar grew and key personnel left to take up the tasks of opening new offices, Amber kept collecting more and more responsibilities. Before long she found herself the Office Manager of the Orlando Branch. She was handling the day-to-day administration of the internal office. Her role now included staffing the dispatch department, and handling the contractor paperwork. For many this would be a full time job, for Amber this was just the first step.
Amber’s drive to learn more about the industry and push to make the office the most efficient led her to tackle many new projects; Among them the shift to a “global” database, online billing and remittance, invoice verification, and new contractor paperwork requirements. With each new challenge Amber further established herself as an essential voice in the future direction of the branch.
Now the Operations Manager for the Orlando Branch – Amber deals with the MSO on a daily basis, her expertise and knowledge is sought not only by local management and technicians, but by the MSO as well. Her commitment to the success of that small company she walked into 3 years ago leaves little unchanged by her impact. Amber is one of the first to arrive each morning, and many nights is one of the last to leave. She has made sacrifices in her life to allow her to continue the work she began. Her belief in the dreams and the future of this unique group we call Jaguar pushes her each day to find new paths for our employees and contractors to develop themselves.
Amber was awarded the Employee of the Year for 2006. A year in which she proved instrumental in one of the fastest periods of growth for the Orlando Branch. She grew up wanting to be a Princess – to the technicians, employees, and customers she speaks with on a daily basis, she truly has become royalty.
2005 EOTY: Steve Fina; Home Office
